Sugden bakery machinery joins exhibition for World Confectionery Conference

British-based Sugden Ltd has confirmed it is set to be among exhibitors at this year’s World Confectionery Conference event in Brussels, reports Neill Barston.

They will be joining a number of businesses showcasing their latest developments at our major industry gathering taking place on 9 September at the Marriott Hotel, Grand Place – so to avoid missing out, register via our dedicated website as a priority this month.

Sugden is a market leading hotplate manufacturing business that has recently acquired the Dutch VanderPol brand, producing industrial production lines for Stroop Waffles, Belgian Waffles, Funcakes and Soft Waffles.

As the business noted, its ranges are increasingly consumed in many places in the world, and its recent business expansion, has enabled it to build upon its core competency producing Hotplates for English muffin lines, crumpet lines and pancake lines.

The company is also capable of creating a broader range of machinery for the craft baking Industry, with the Nelson-based company having developed a mini-hotplate.

For this year’s conference, the company will be represented by Pieter Doornbos, sales manager for VanderPol, and Erik Smink (marketing manager for the group), who are keenly anticipating this year’s event in Brussels.

Neill Barston, editor of Confectionery Production magazine, welcomed the business to the conference. He said: “With just a few weeks to go until our World Confectionery Conference, it is particularly significant that companies such as Sugden, with its decades of experience in delivering industrial equipment for the sector, has chosen to come on board as part of our exhibition for this year’s first ever physical conference event.”
