World Confectionery Conference welcomes Andy Baxendale as a speaker

Known throughout the world as ‘The Sweet Consultant’, Andy Baxendale has over 24 years’ experience in the confectionery industry with a Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Food Manufacture.

Based in Greater Manchester in the UK, Andy is a respected international consultant in every aspect of confectionery production. With extensive knowledge of industry regulations and legislation he advises companies on everything from recipe development to staff training and enhanced production techniques.

An expert media commentator on all issues related to sweet production and consumption, Andy is currently on the editorial board of Confectionary Production Magazine.

He has produced a number of technical and insight articles for our title, in which his clear passion and knowledge of the confectionery sector have been a real asset. Andy is the first to be announced as a speaker for our World Confectionery Conference taking place in Brussels on 11 September 2020.

The industry expert has worked with many big name brands across the world including Chewits, Cloetta, Toms, Glisten Confectionery, Stockley’s Sweets, Bonds Confectionery, Big Bear Confectionery, Sweet Dreams and Tilley.

In terms of his media work, he has a number of screen credits to his name, including appearing in a television series titled The Sweet makers, exploring confectionery production over the past two centuries.

He is currently working to set up a National Academy of Confectionery in the UK, to teach a new generation the art of confectionery production and development.
